2003

This year's list doesn't stand out as anything exceptional even though it features some of my long-term favourites. I guess that the standards are just really high, since the first half of 2000's is full of amazing albums. I had again some difficulties with constructing the list in a way that nothing amazing is left out so there is nothing to complain about. Sunny melodic pop, power pop, folk, country, electronica and melancholic indie rock. All of these genres can be found on this list. There are albums from many different countries as well. Especially the Nordic Countries have a good representation here. 2003 was especially the year of Ben Gibbard, since he is the main author of two of these albums.
