2009

2009's list has many great albums but for some reason only few of them really effected me on a personal level. The range is quite wide from melancholic folk tunes to melodic surf rock and heavy grunge guitars. There's definitely something for everyone. It has some of the best looking album covers as well. What can I say? The list includes many excellent debut albums and great pieces of work from bands that have been around for decades. I had to leave some good albums out again so enjoy these ones!

2010

2010 was an outstanding year in music. I had to leave many really good albums out of this list. It has many albums on it that have effected me a lot on a personal level. The year 2010 brought many changes in my life and the music obviously reminds me of those experiences and the feelings I was going through. One of the great things in writing this blog is that I can return to certain parts of my life and remember them through music. I'm sure that you can enjoy these albums as well, because they're all fantastic. I've had the pleasure to see every one of these bands live except one. They're all really good live as well, so I encourage you to buy the tickets if you have the chance.

2011

About a year ago I published a list of the best albums of 2011 in Kersantti Pippuri. I think I made some hasty desicions back then. It's really hard to make a list of the same years albums 'cause you haven't had enough time to really get to know the long term effects of the albums and more good albums are found later on. I think this list is more up to date when it comes to the top 10 of 2011. I still think that 2011 wasn't among the best years in published albums, but this list has some very enjoyable albums all the same.
